THE PERSON I IDOLISE THE MOST (LOGAH RAJ A/L JAGANATHAN ALAM019085)
Michael Schumacher, one of the top Formula 1 drivers, is my idol. And "Schumi" is his nick name. In 1969, Michael Schumacher was born in Germany. He is largely regarded as the greatest racing driver to have ever lived. He began racing in 1986 at the age of 14 in his birthplace of Karting. He finished the race in third position. At the age of 21, Schumi won the F3 auto racing championship in Germany, followed by victories in Macau and Fiji.
For the Jordan Team's inaugural Formula 1 vehicle race,
Schumi competed in 1991. Schumi (1994 and 1995 seasons) set a record for being
the youngest-ever double Formula 1 World Champion in 1995. In addition, he won
the title of World Champion in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004. In 1996,
Schumi joined the Ferrari Team and finished third with a 54-point total. Due to
his rise to prominence in Formula 1, Schumi's performance this year was
extremely important. Schumi has won the title of World Champion seven times
since 1994.
Mika Hakkinen, the driver for McLaren, was Schumi's primary
competition in 1998 and 1999, however Schumi fell short. Schumi finally became
the World Champion in 2000, ushering in the Ferrari dynasty. Up until Fernando
Alonso of Renault defeated Schumi and won the World Championship in 2005,
Ferrari had prevailed over other teams. Schumi hoped to win the World
Championship and leave Formula 1 in the 2006 season, but he only finished in
second place.
The records for most career victories, most victories in a
season, most career pole positions, most points in a season, most consecutive
world championships, most consecutive race victories, most podium finishes,
most laps led, and most fastest laps were all broken by Michael Schumacher.
He was active in developing racing cars in addition to his
outstanding accomplishment in auto racing. He was able to be a successful race
car driver because of this. Over 200 auto races were entered by Schumi. On the
racecourse, he didn't give a damn about the other drivers because his
motivation came from pushing himself.
